ITIAN ChatGPT Academy
Technology Simplified — Solutions That Work
Getting Started with ChatGPT
Build a safe, confident foundation by understanding ChatGPT, preparing your account, learning the interface and completing your first useful conversations.
Welcome to Module 1
This module assumes no previous ChatGPT experience. Work through the lessons in order, practise each skill and pause whenever you need more time.
🌱 Start with Strong Foundations
You will learn what ChatGPT can and cannot do before relying on it for practical work. This helps you ask better questions and judge answers more carefully.
🛠️ Learn by Doing
Each lesson includes a practical action. You will explore the interface, write prompts, improve a conversation and make informed safety choices.
🧭 Follow the Sequence
Use the lesson list and progress tracker below. Complete the quiz only after you have practised all seven lesson topics.
🤝 Ask for Help
If something looks different on your device, use the support page. Interfaces change, but the learning principles in this module remain useful.

Module Orientation
This future video will introduce the module, show the lesson sequence and demonstrate the practical learning routine.
- Pause when you need time to practise.
- Use captions or the transcript.
- Expect interface details to evolve over time.
Module 1 Practical Challenge
Create one useful ChatGPT conversation that demonstrates your foundation skills.
- Choose a safe, everyday goal such as planning a meal, organising a study session or drafting a polite message.
- Write a prompt containing your goal, useful context and preferred output format.
- Ask at least two follow-up questions to improve the answer.
- Review the result for mistakes, missing context and private information.
- Give the conversation a clear name so you can find it again.
Evidence of completion: keep your final prompt and a short note explaining what improved after your follow-up questions.
Before You Begin
A small amount of preparation makes the first lesson easier.
Recommended Preparation
- A device with a modern web browser or official ChatGPT app
- Access to the email or sign-in method used for your account
- Approximately 20 minutes without interruption
- A notebook or the ITIAN study planner
Keep These Principles Nearby
- Never enter passwords or confidential information into a prompt.
- ChatGPT can make mistakes and important answers require checking.
- Your screen may differ as features and interfaces evolve.
- Learning by practising is more effective than reading alone.
Start Lesson 1
Your first lesson explains ChatGPT in clear language and establishes the judgement you will use throughout the academy.
