Solar Wireless Alarm
Setup & Operation

A hands-on course using the actual alarm, controls and remote controls. Work through it beside the unit: charge it, identify every control, pair the remotes and sensors, test the system, then install it correctly.

Course outcome: By the end you should be able to set up, reset, pair, test and commission the alarm confidently.

Lesson 1 — Know the Alarm

This is a self-contained solar-powered wireless alarm with an internal rechargeable battery, siren, indicator, radio receiver and removable mounting bracket.

Main parts

  • Solar charging panel
  • Siren / buzzer
  • Indicator light
  • ON/OFF battery switch
  • S1 alarm-sound button
  • S2 working-mode button
  • S3 accessory pairing/reset button
  • USB 5V charging input
  • Mounting bracket
Radio: the supplied documentation identifies 433.92 MHz using the 1527 protocol. Accessories must be compatible.

Lesson 2 — Charge and Power Up

  1. Before first setup, give the alarm a full charge.
  2. For USB charging use a regulated DC 5V / 1A supply. The supplied instructions give about 4–5 hours for USB charging.
  3. Solar charging depends on sunlight and may take more than 10 hours. Choose a site with strong direct sun.
  4. Open the rear control cover and move the battery switch to ON.
  5. On normal startup the supplied manual describes two buzzer sounds and two indicator flashes.
Important: Do not use a higher-voltage adapter. The original manual warns this can damage the alarm and be dangerous.

Lesson 3 — S1, S2 and S3 Controls

ControlJob
S1 — short pressCycles the alarm sound/voice.
S2 — short pressCycles the working mode.
S3 — short pressEnters wireless accessory pairing mode.
S3 — long pressFactory reset / delete stored accessories.

S2 modes in the supplied manual

  • Sound + light mode — one indication
  • Sound mode — two indications
  • Flash mode — three indications
Do not casually hold S3. A long press can erase your paired accessories.

Actual controls. ON/OFF is upper right; S1 is the upper small button; S2 is below it; S3 is the separate button at left.

Lesson 4 — Pair the Remote Controls

  1. Turn the alarm ON.
  2. Short press S3 once. The alarm enters accessory configuration mode and the indicator should flash continuously.
  3. Within about 20 seconds, press a button on the first remote so it transmits.
  4. A successful configuration is confirmed by the alarm's confirmation indication.
  5. Repeat the procedure for the second remote. Pair each accessory separately.
  6. Move away from the alarm and test both remotes again.
Good practice: Write a small number on each remote if they will be given to different people. Then you know exactly which remote has been tested.

Lesson 5 — Pair Sensors and the SOS Button

The same S3 pairing procedure is used for compatible wireless accessories such as detectors and panic/SOS transmitters.

  1. Short press S3 to enter pairing.
  2. Trigger the detector, door contact, remote or SOS transmitter so it sends its radio code.
  3. Wait for the confirmation before pairing the next accessory.
  4. The supplied manual indicates support for up to about 10 accessories.

Separate SOS/panic transmitter supplied with this installation.

If pairing fails

  • Recharge the alarm.
  • Bring the accessory close to the alarm.
  • Make sure you used a short S3 press.
  • Trigger the accessory while the alarm is still in pairing mode.
  • If necessary, reset and start again — but remember a reset deletes stored accessories.
SOS limitation: treat this as a local alarm trigger unless you have separately confirmed connection to a compatible communications/alarm host. Do not assume it automatically calls emergency services.

Lesson 6 — Arm, Disarm and Emergency Operation

Remote controlWhat it doesTest
Closed padlockARM — places the system in its alert state.Arm, then trigger a paired detector.
Open padlockDISARM — returns normal zones to a non-alert state and can stop an alarm.Disarm and verify a normal detector no longer alarms.
SOSImmediately requests an emergency/local alarm.Warn anyone nearby before testing — the siren is loud.
House/home symbolAuxiliary/home function on compatible variants.Confirm behaviour on this exact unit before relying on it.
Do your first functional tests with the alarm close at hand. Once you understand the response, repeat the test at the intended operating distance.

Lesson 7 — Factory Reset

Use this only when you intentionally want to clear the stored accessory list or recover from a confused setup.

  1. Turn the alarm ON.
  2. Press and hold S3.
  3. The supplied manual describes four buzzer sounds and four indicator flashes for deletion/reset.
  4. Release S3.
  5. Pair both remotes and all sensors again from the beginning.
  6. Perform a complete functional test.
Reset means re-pairing. Do not reset a working installed system unless you are prepared to configure all accessories again.

Lesson 8 — Installation and Commissioning

  1. Before drilling anything, test wireless range at the intended alarm and sensor locations.
  2. Choose a location with good direct sunlight. The original instructions recommend at least about five hours of direct sun.
  3. Avoid large metal objects, reinforced concrete and strong sources of radio interference.
  4. Fix the bracket securely using screws and wall plugs suitable for the surface.
  5. Align the alarm with the bracket clips and slide/pull it down until secure.
  6. Perform the final arm, detector, disarm and SOS tests from the normal operating positions.

Commissioning checklist

Alarm fully charged
ON/OFF switch ON
Desired sound and mode selected
Both remotes tested
SOS tested
Every detector tested
Wireless range checked
Solar panel has adequate sunlight
Mounting bracket secure

Lesson 9 — Troubleshooting

Remote does nothingMove closer, re-pair it, then increase the test distance.
Sensor will not pairShort press S3 and trigger the sensor promptly while configuration mode is active.
Pairing repeatedly failsRecharge; pair one accessory at a time; reset only if necessary.
False alarmsCheck detector position, moving vegetation/animals, heat sources and interference.

Final Knowledge Check

1. Which button enters accessory pairing mode?

2. What USB supply is specified?

3. What can a long press of S3 do?

4. When should you mount the alarm permanently?

5. Does SOS automatically call emergency services?

Course Complete

If you have completed the lessons and the commissioning checklist, you should now be able to charge, configure, pair, test, reset and install this solar wireless alarm.

ITIAN principle: Never rely on a security device just because it appears to be configured. Prove every function by testing it.
