Solar Alarm Guide and Setup

A step-by-step guide for setting up a small solar-powered wireless alarm unit, charging it correctly, pairing accessories, testing the remote control, mounting the unit, and avoiding common setup problems.

Product Overview

This solar alarm is a self-contained alarm unit with a solar charging panel, internal battery, siren, indicator light, remote-control support, and wireless accessory support.

Main Parts

  • Solar charging panel
  • Alarm speaker / buzzer
  • Indicator light
  • Mode / setup buttons
  • ON/OFF battery switch
  • USB charging input
  • Mounting bracket

Typical Uses

  • Shed or garage security
  • Driveway or gate alert
  • Workshop alarm
  • Remote building alert
  • Basic home security support
Important: Exact button labels and sounds may vary slightly by model. Test each function carefully before relying on the alarm for security.

Quick Start Setup

Use this checklist to get the alarm working for the first time.

Step 1: Fully Charge the Alarm

Before installation, charge the alarm fully using sunlight or a USB charger.

  • Solar charging requires good direct sunlight.
  • USB charging uses a DC 5V / 1A power supply.
  • Do not use high-voltage chargers.
Manual warning: Do not use other adapters with higher voltage, otherwise the product may be damaged and become dangerous.

Step 2: Turn the Battery Switch ON

On the back of the alarm, turn the battery switch to ON. The alarm should power up and may make a sound or flash the indicator light.

Step 3: Choose a Working Mode

Use the mode button to cycle through the operating modes. Watch the indicator light and listen for the beep pattern as confirmation.

Step 4: Pair Accessories

If you have wireless sensors, door contacts, PIR detectors, or remotes, pair them before mounting the alarm permanently.

Step 5: Test the Remote

Test Arm, Disarm, and SOS buttons.

Step 6: Mount the Alarm

Install the bracket securely, then slide the alarm onto the bracket. Choose a location with sunlight and good wireless reception.

  2. Press and hold the S3 button.
  3. Wait for multiple buzzer sounds and indicator flashes.
  4. Release the button when the alarm confirms deletion or reset.

Remote Controller Operation

The remote normally has buttons for arming, disarming, and SOS/emergency operation.

Disarm

Press the disarm button before entering the protected area or when you do not want the alarm to respond.

SOS

Installation Guide

Correct placement is important for charging, sound, wireless range and reliability.

Choose the Location

  • Choose a place with good sunlight for the solar panel.
  • Install as centrally as possible for wireless sensor reception.
  • Avoid large metal objects, reinforced concrete, thick walls, or strong interference sources.
  • Keep the alarm high enough to be heard and seen.
  • Face the solar panel toward the best available sun.

Fix the Bracket

  1. Hold the bracket against the mounting surface.
  2. Mark the screw holes.
  3. Drill holes if required.
  4. Use suitable wall plugs and screws.
  5. Tighten the bracket firmly.

Fit the Alarm to the Bracket

Slide the alarm onto the bracket clips and pull down to secure it, as shown in the manual diagram.

Weather note: If installing outdoors, place the unit where it gets sunlight but is protected as much as practical from heavy rain, water pooling, and impact damage.

Charging Guide

USB Charging

  • Use USB DC 5V / 1A.
  • Avoid high-voltage chargers.
  • Charge fully before first setup.
  • Useful if the alarm has been stored or unused.

Battery Care

  • Recharge if the alarm becomes weak or unreliable.
  • Do not leave the unit flat for long periods.
  • Check charging after long cloudy periods.
